World of Work 

Throughout this year we have been holding assemblies in school with a focus on the World of Work. We hope we have given our children a sense of the range of jobs and employment opportunities that can be achieved after they finish school. We have loved involving our parents and members of the community in this work, and have really appreciated the volunteers who have talked to the children about their jobs and experiences, post education.
The children have been visited by gardener, mountain rescuer, firefighter, vet, a worker from Arts Council and our local MP. All have shared their career stories and information. This has been invaluable in widening our children's understanding and aspirations. We will continue this good work and invite more member of our community and parents to visit our school this year. Thank you to them all for their time.
