What have Kingfishers been doing?
Since starting back in September, Kingfishers have been busy reading, exploring, acting - using some British Sign Language actions - and learning the Traditional Tale of Little Red Riding Hood. We adopted the Talk for Writing approach, internalising the model text. We then applied those language structures and features to create our own Tale with a Twist - Little Blue Cap. Children have worked exceptionally hard with their independent writing and should be very proud of their innovations! We have also enjoyed exploring the Twisted Tale of the Three Little Wolves and the Big, Bad Pig by Eugine Trivizas in our Whole Class Reading and Forest School sessions.
