Work to Complete w/c 30.03.20

Hello everyone! As we mentioned in our text messages, we will set a variety of directed tasks for you to complete with your child each week.
We understand that juggling home schooling with work and other commitments, such as supporting family, will be very tricky. Just do what you can, don’t put too much pressure on yourself or your child and try to enjoy this opportunity for some special time together. If on a particular day you are struggling to complete the home learning, for whatever reason, remember the single most important thing that you can do with your child to help ALL aspects of their learning is to read, read, read!
Please also keep an eye on the Kingfishers page on the school website. There are lots of ideas, resources and website links posted there and we will continue to add to them over the coming weeks.

This week please have a go at the following:

Read, read and read some more - school books, home books or there are lots of reading texts on our class page for you to enjoy.

Listen to free audio books: https://stories.audible.com/discovery

Complete the White Rose home learning video lessons and questions with an adult/ older sibling: https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/

Complete Maths homework on www.mymaths.co.uk focusing on place value and number revision this week and also mass for Y1 and fractions for Y2 (linking the White Rose video lessons).

Spelling - please practise 5 common exception words that you find tricky. Write them in different colours/ bubble writing/ in chalk or sand if you have any. Try using the words in different sentences - can you write a silly sentence with them in to make someone in your family laugh?

www.spag.com - focus on the suffixes / apostrophes and commas tasks this week please (Year 2 only).

Pobble 365 - Every day there's a different picture, questions to answer and writing opportunities for you to get involved in and enjoy
